Globally Designed Living Room

Living in Washington DC I have the pleasure and fun to work with many clients who have traveled abroad. The client who I worked with on this home had lived abroad, traveled extensively, and shop wisely. It was a joy to decorate her living room/dining area in her townhome! She had treasures from mostly Africa and Japan, but her furniture pieces are all new purchases. The deep shag rug that anchors the seating area is from Bassett Furniture along with the couch and two side chairs. The Blue Stone dining room table and four custom dining chairs with, yes, gray zebra and purple velvet fabric are also from Bassett furniture, but fabric is from Calico Corners. The window treatments are also from Calico Corners. The wall color is a fantastic mix of Benjamin Moore Edgecomb Gray and the perfect yellow to match the beautiful window treatments Marblehead Gold. The center coffee table looks like she brought it back from an antique shop in Japan but is from Arhaus.
